Fly into Porto.

Day 1
- Arrive, drop off luggage (most hotels will hold your luggage until check in)
- Explore Ribeira
- The colorful waterfront heart of Porto, Ribeira is known for its narrow cobblestone streets, historic buildings, lively cafés, and stunning views of the Douro River. It’s the perfect place to wander, enjoy a riverside meal.
- Sunset at Dom Luís I Bridge
- One of Porto’s most iconic experiences. Head to the upper level of the bridge at sunset for panoramic views of the Douro River, Ribeira’s colorful waterfront, and the port wine cellars across the river in Vila Nova de Gaia. It’s one of the best photo spots in the city and a perfect introduction to Porto.

Day 2
- Livraria Lello
- Often considered one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world. While J. K. Rowling lived in Porto, many believe the bookstore’s grand staircase and the city’s black-caped university students helped inspire elements of Harry Potter. Whether fact or folklore, it’s one of Porto’s most iconic sights and well worth a visit. Order tickets ahead of time!!!



- Visit Mercado do Bolhão
- Porto’s historic market and a great place to experience local life. Wander through stalls selling fresh produce, seafood, meats, cheeses, flowers, and regional specialties while soaking up the lively atmosphere. It’s an excellent stop for a quick snack, coffee, or a taste of authentic northern Portuguese cuisine.

Day 3

- Visit the Imperial McDonalds
- Often called the most beautiful McDonald’s in the world, this unique restaurant occupies the former Imperial Café, a beloved Art Deco café dating back to the 1930s. When McDonald’s moved into the space in 1995, many of the original features were preserved, including crystal chandeliers, ornate ceilings, stained-glass windows, and the iconic eagle on the façade. Even if you’re not craving a burger, it’s worth stopping in to admire the architecture and experience one of Porto’s most unusual landmarks
- River cruise
- One of the most popular experiences in Porto, a river cruise offers beautiful views of the city’s colorful waterfront, historic Ribeira district, and the iconic Dom Luís I Bridge. Many cruises follow the traditional “Six Bridges” route, providing a relaxing way to see Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia from the water while learning about the city’s maritime history.


- Sunset Rooftop dinner
- Enjoy dinner with panoramic views of Porto and the Douro River at Bello Rooftop or 17th Restaurant & Bar. Both offer spectacular sunset views and are perfect for your first evening in Porto

Day 4- Head to Coimbra
Coimbra — 2 Nights
Home to one of Europe’s oldest universities, University of Coimbra has shaped the city’s identity for centuries. Students still wear traditional black capes and uniforms as part of longstanding academic traditions, giving Coimbra a unique atmosphere that many visitors compare to Harry Potter. Wander the historic hilltop campus, visit the stunning Joanina Library, and soak in the energy of a city where student life and history are woven into everyday life.


Day 4
- University of Coimbra
- Founded in 1290, the University of Coimbra is one of the oldest universities in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Perched atop a hill overlooking the city, it has been the intellectual and cultural heart of Portugal for centuries. Students still wear traditional black capes and uniforms, a longstanding academic tradition that gives the campus a distinctly Harry Potter-like atmosphere.


- Joanina Library
- Located within the university, the Joanina Library is one of the most beautiful libraries in the world. Built in the 18th century, it features ornate gilded woodwork, painted ceilings, and shelves lined with thousands of historic books. One of its most unusual residents is a colony of bats that help protect the collection by eating insects that could damage the books. It’s considered the crown jewel of the University of Coimbra and a highlight of any visit to the city.

Day 5
- Slow morning, enjoy breakfast with coffee and a pastel de nata
- Shop for souvenirs
- Stroll Through the Botanical Gardens
- One of the oldest botanical gardens in Portugal, this peaceful oasis is home to exotic plants, towering bamboo groves, and beautifully landscaped paths. Originally created in the 18th century to support scientific study at the university, it’s a wonderful place to escape the crowds and enjoy a relaxing stroll among nature and history.



- Conímbriga
- One of the best-preserved Roman archaeological sites in Portugal, Conímbriga offers a fascinating glimpse into life nearly 2,000 years ago. Visitors can explore ancient streets, homes, baths, and remarkably intact mosaic floors that showcase the wealth and sophistication of the former Roman city. Located just outside Coimbra, it’s an easy half-day excursion and one of the country’s most impressive historical sites.

Douro Valley — 3 Nights

- Rabelo boat River cruise from Pinhão
- One of the best ways to experience the Douro Valley, a traditional Rabelo boat cruise offers a unique perspective of the region’s terraced vineyards, historic wine estates, and rolling hills from the river itself. These boats were once used to transport barrels of Port wine to Porto and now provide a relaxing journey through one of Portugal’s most spectacular landscapes

Day 8
- Spa Day & Vineyard Relaxation – Unwind at one of the Douro Valley’s renowned spa hotels, such as Six Senses Douro Valley or Octant Douro, where wellness treatments, infinity pools, and vineyard views make for the perfect relaxing afternoon.

- Return to Porto Airport
